Fook me i am pissef. Elf my elf. Gamex Mentor gamexmentor. I know many users facing the same wifi keep disconnecting. Some users also explain Wifi is not connecting to PS4.
Nothing will fix an issue that's to do with the latest update apart from another update to fix the issue. I thought it can be solved via a wifi repeater which has a lan-connector also for no-wifi devices. So i thought to connect the my PS4-pro via lan-cable to the repeater. But some guys write that they hat problems also when connecting via LAN….

Cavelenare C. Posted: May I have done absolutely everything mentioned here and my PS4 PRO still experiences failure to stay connected to the internet.
It never has had this problem before and all of a sudden it fails to stay connected to the internet for extended periods of time. There are no other issues with my PlayStation. The only two things I have not done is to use a LAN cable because I live in shared housing and trying to select 2. It can only auto select. Can anyone please help? I have no clue what step to take next. There are no brand new PS4 or PS5 consoles available for sale in my country.

Go to Network. Go to Set Up Internet Connection. Go to Use Wi-Fi. Posted: January 1 Options Permalink History.

This is really annoying though. I thought I disliked the button sync up on Xbox buuut it might be better for situations like this lol or not.. Hope an update or something will fox issue. I had to plug mine into the Ethernet. Hardwired like that, it worked great. Then I unplugged it and moved it back to the room it was in, and it works great. Been a couple weeks and still no issues. Hopefully this will work for you. I have had my ps4 for 9 months now and for the last 5 I have had this problem.
The reason i start with this, is because it is the least invasive of the repairs, and fixes a various number of issues that are caused by data corruption.
Dirt and dust are conductive, and can cause board shorts. Excellent reply. I will try to do one by one the options suggested, and I will come back with an update soon.
Otherwise, as you pointed out in option 5, it will be better a new console. I turned off my playstation Unplug the power cord for a little bit Made sure the cord and controller were plugged in then plugged it back in held the power button until a screen came up go all the way down and select rebuild Database and it worked for me Wi-Fi and my controller.
Angelo ajc2. If you have your 'connect to internet' box checked on your PS4 system settings, and you lose Wi-Fi, the Bluetooth controllers will lose sync, at what seems to be a random time, afterwards. I unfortunately have no internet service provider where I live but I am able to use hotspot via my phone.
If my phone dies while I am using hotspot for my PS4, I will lose my Wi-Fi connection, and shortly later my controllers will unsync. I have to perform a hard reset to get my controllers working again.
This problem only occurs when I have the 'connect to internet' option activated but no wifi access. So put simply, if you have the 'connect to internet' option checked, make sure you have sufficient internet or it will annoy you greatly. I wouldn't spend money on a new controller or try to fix my antenna just yet. Pretty sure it's some sort of interference issue between Bluetooth and the PS4 attempting to connect to Wi-Fi. Tried that, and as soon as I launched a game, the controller disconnected and wont resync.
Go into you device setting and then turn off the bluetooth, then turn on the setting to cable and plug it into your charger. I know how to fix it just take your ps4 outside and shoot it with a shotgun like 5 billion times and it will work. I know how to fix it its easy just take your ps4 outside and shoot it with a shotgun 5 billion times and it will work. Rene Rodriguez. If you have original PS4 then it only connect to the 2.
If you receive an error on your PS4 that the signal is too weak then just reset or reboot your router. I know this sound weird but trust me it helps maximum of times otherwise turn off other devices on the network. If your PS4 is far from the router then try to move your system as closer to the router as you can. Some time it might be an issue with DNS server setting.
Find the setting button on your PS4 menu. In that search for network and in that select set yp internet connection. After that select custom from there. Select the WiFi network from your router. Once you connected to the network select do not specify option. Select the DNS setting on manual. Setup primary DNS on 8. Source:- Fix PS4 keeps disconnecting. If you are not getting all these steps then use Ethernet cable to connect your PS4 and Router.
This issue doesn't have anything to do with the Wi-Fi connection it's self, and the original PS4 doesn't support 5GHz. It is either firmware, or crosstalk from the Wi-Fi antenna and Bluetooth antenna being the same frequency. I believe it to be a hardware failure as they both shut off at the same time, but the only thing that fixes the issue for anybody on this thread is using only Wi-Fi or only Bluetooth, but not both.
September 17 by Richard Belanger. Will Caixedo. No idea why this issue happened when it is connected with WiFi, and hope it gets fix with the PS5. Anonymous youwillneversee. The controller disconnecting really confuses me however the PlayStation disconnecting from the Wi-Fi is normal. The way to fix it is by changing the Wi-Fi channel, I changed it by going to Justin Moreland xxkibaxx Take it back if you can.
It happened to me once a few years after getting it. Then it didn't happen again for a few years. The last few months it's been doing it quite often. A few days ago it happened 2 times in one day. It seems its too rare of an issue because I can't seem to find many of these posts and nothing at all from Sony. Greg gdunning After having this issue only recently, and reading through these posts, the issue with controllers disconnecting when the system is using wifi, is directly related to the system using the same antenna.
If you turn off wifi on the PS4 or connect it using an Ethernet cable, the problem goes away immediately. This has to either be a firmware issue or a problem on the board, as replacing the antenna did not change anything. Normally my system only runs with a wired connection, but I recently moved temporarily and my normal network connections will not be setup until my new house is built.
I broke a controller in the process of trying to fix this. It was old, and I felt better for a few minutes, but Sony screwed up an update back in that still persists today, and seems to be a problem even with the new systems. Paul O'Dell. I had this problem with my older PS4 I even bought a new controller. I have recently bought a PS4 pro and the same happens with this unit with the included controller and the older controllers.
I think that there must be an issue with WiFi interference. I live in a condo with multiple WiFi signals and it would be nice if Sony could add an option to change WiFi channels on the controller. I will have to try the hard wire Ethernet cable and see if that changes anything for me. Also note that I have had ten other game download and update with no problems while this has been going on so I know my connection and PS4 are highly unlikely to hold the blame for this issue.
Help please. Go to Solution. If not, can we give that a shot to see if it helps? The Port Forward website has some instructions on how you can set a static IP address. If you're able to give that a try, please let me know if you're still running into the same error message afterward.
View in thread. First first three times I tried downloading it was the only download. After I reinitialized my PS4 I tried again and it didn't work. The second time around I tried updating other games just to see if they would and sure enough every other game will update and play like normal. Do you have Apex Legends installed on an external hard drive, or is it saved to the drive that's built into your PS4? It was on an external hard drive.
Tried to download on both the external and the original system hard drive since the problem started. Both have yielded the same results. I apologize for my late reply but it has been a busy month.
I'm sure by my absence of reply though that you could only assume that it worked, which it did and I am very thankful for it. No worries! I know how life goes.
