Randomizers may feature major gameplay tweaks to accomodate possible randomized changes, or other additional minor improvements.
However, a game modification or utility that may change any other gameplay element and which cannot be disabled would not be considered a randomizer, as the modified game would become closer to a custom game instead of a randomized one. This list shows all third-party video game randomizers known to me, regardless of their fun factor.
They are listed by the games they randomize and grouped by game series, along with the randomizer's name in parentheses and additional documentation whenever necessary. I update the list frequently and try to keep it up-to-date to the best of my abilities. While some argue that the tight narratives and excellent role-playing of previous titles are missing in the new Fallout titles, the added benefit of the vast open-world and boundless gameplay made this tradeoff bearable for many.
The latest single-player title in the series might be quite divisive, but there's no denying that Fallout 4 is still an excellent game that players can make even better with mods. Romantic mods are especially notable in this regard, and players can download the following mods to make their amorous activities all the more engaging and fleshed-out. The wedding rings that players carry in their inventory throughout Fallout 4 definitely make sense from a story standpoint.
However, one can't deny that these rings do feel like deadweight at times. This is where the Lover's Rings mod comes into the picture. It turns the wedding rings into a Soldier's Wedding Ring and a Lawyer's Wedding Ring, with minor stat boosts of their own. For the most part, players can romance characters in Fallout 4 at their convenience. However, there is one exception to this rule in the form of Curie, whose romance opportunity only comes once in the game.
Players have only one chance, and if they miss it, their chances with Curie are gone. By installing the mod, horror lovers will never feel as if they're truly safe. Gamers will feel uneasy when opening a door with a squeak that is particularly loud and sharp while wondering if any of the local enemies or monsters heard it. It's a simple, yet effective mod that works for any Halloween playthrough.
While this mod may seem puzzling for a horror playthrough, it soon becomes obvious with a little context. It prevents the game from being paused whenever players open up a menu, which means the world keeps on ticking in the background. No more casually strolling through the inventory in the middle of a fight. When combined with other horror mods that add a lot of tension and fear to Fallout 4, this mod can be the icing on the cake.
The inability to pause the game while in a menu means that players are always vulnerable to whatever is lurking in the shadows at that particular moment. Heather Casdin is far and away one of the best companion mods ever made for any game — period. The character has a ton of voice lines and even has a unique affinity and quest system. As you progress through the game, Heather tells you of her tragic story, eventually opening up to you as you kill more synths or drink some of her herbal concoctions.
